This has been confirmed in a study conducted by the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) on behalf of “Computerwoche.” It examined how IT security providers perform in the eyes of their customers and partners.

The other 50 percent came from how highly the company is rated in terms of innovation, management, sustainability, profitability, and as an employer, with each category being worth 10 percent.

How our reputation was calculated
The institute analyzed 438 million online sources to find the answer to the question of how IT security providers perform in the public eye. They used a two-step process:
- Data collection: The statements pertaining to 62 IT security providers were collected from all of the websites via crawling.
- Data analysis: These statements were analyzed using artificial intelligence techniques to determine whether the tone was positive, neutral, or negative.
The institute calculated a point value based on tonality and reach on the web. And they came up with the following verdict: G DATA is with 100 points, the best company.
